MOLLE panels earn their place in a Transit because the cargo wall above the wheel arch is ribbed and close to upright, so a flat panel gives you a mounting face where bare sheet metal gives you none. Roof choice decides how high that panel can sit: a mid roof build runs out of wall before a high roof does, and a ceiling fan or an upper locker will claim the top of the run.
