About Overland Standard
Curated van and overland gear, selected the slow way.
Curated van and overland gear, selected the slow way.
Overland Standard is an expert-curation storefront for adventure van and overland outfitting, operated from Oregon, United States. We select gear for people who are planning or living a van build and want equipment that fits their vehicle and their trip, without wading through marketplace listings that will not say what they fit.
Every product is hand-selected from US-based suppliers with verified order tracking. We publish original descriptions and fitment notes for every item we carry, written for van builders rather than copied from a supplier sheet. And if a product does not fit your build, our guides tell you before checkout, not after.
Selection starts with fitment. A product earns a place in the catalog when the manufacturer publishes the dimensions, load rating, and mounting method that let us say plainly whether it works on a Sprinter 144 or 170, a Transit high roof, or a Promaster 136 or 159. Gear sold as universal fit without published specifications does not make the cut, and neither does anything we cannot source from a US supplier with verified tracking. Curation means leaving things out, and what we excluded is stated on each collection page.
We are curators, not a test lab. We do not claim hands-on testing we have not done, we do not operate a warehouse, and load ratings and safety information on our pages come from manufacturer documentation. When something is our opinion, we say so.
Start with Van Storage & Organization, or read the Journal for the build guides behind our selections.
