Selection notes
A rear ladder on a Promaster works against two facts: the doors swing wide, and the roof sits high above an unusually low floor. Mounting to the door skin puts the ladder, plus a spare wheel if one is carried, onto the hinges, so the backing plate and the rated hinge capacity matter more than the weight of the ladder itself. Side ladders and roof-access ladders avoid the doors entirely.
