A 12 volt compressor fridge holds a set temperature from the house battery, which is what separates it from a cooler and from a thermoelectric box. Every unit listed is portable. It sits on the floor, on a platform or on a slide tray, and it draws through a socket, so there is no panel to cut and no frame matched to one body to buy alongside it.
Three specifications carry the decision: capacity in liters, single or dual zone, and current draw against the bank you have. Dual zone freezes one side while the other holds produce. Single zone is simpler and usually cheaper per liter. Wheeled and aluminum bodied models suit gear that leaves the van often. Consumption and temperature figures follow the manufacturer documentation.
