Storage boxes in a Sprinter live or die on one measurement: the run of clear wall between the wheel arch and the rear door frame. A 144 wheelbase gives you far less of it than a 170, so a case that mounts cleanly in one van can foul the door swing in the other. Measure that gap before you settle on a box length.
